The shul is open, subject to protocols recently adopted by many other shuls in the city. In particular, access is limited to people who are fully-vaccinated (that is, at least two weeks past their second shot) and masked. Masks must be worn at all times inside the building. Services on Rosh Hashana will be mornings only, starting at 9:30 AM. There will be no hazzanut, meaning that the services will be shorter than in the past. Olim to the Torah will recite the brachot from their seat. People from different households will be seated two metres apart. The shofar will be blown well away from the tzibur, and adjacent to an open window.

Whereas we hugely regret the restrictions, and most especially, the absence of music, we believe that we can still produce a warm, spirited avodah that lifts us to where Rosh Hashana means us to be.
